AI Optimised CT Scans in Brisbane

Computerised tomography (CT) scans combine x-rays of the body taken at different angles, and computer processing. Together these create cross-sectional images (“slices”) of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues.

One step ahead, a AI Optimised CT offers superior material differentiation than traditional single-energy CTs. Making the initial examination the most accurate one, redefining how tissue composition is visualised.

There are just four AI Optimised CTs operational in Australia – with the only one in private practice found at Brisbane Radiology.

AI Optimised CTs are a quick way to examine internal injuries from trauma, but also used for diagnosis, and planning treatment.

Often a CT scan requires the use of a special dye known as contrast, which enhances visibility in the areas of the body under examination, by highlighting structures such as blood vessels, intestines or other relevant anatomical features.  This gives radiologists tremendous insight into a body’s composition and characteristics, previously inaccessible. Contrast can be administered orally, as an injection or introduced as an enema.
