The 3 Tesla MRI machine uses a strong magnetic field and radiofrequency pulses to generate detailed images of the body’s internal structures. Put simply, the patient lies inside a large, tube-like machine, containing a powerful magnet. The magnetic field aligns the hydrogen atoms in the body, while radiofrequency pulses cause these atoms to emit signals detected by the 3 Tesla MRI machine. Unlike X-Rays and CTs, which use ionising radiation, an MRI doesn’t expose the patient to radiation.
