Dr. Callan Gavaghan


Dr. Callan Gavaghan is a Consultant Cardiologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, and stress testing.

He holds an FRACP in Cardiology and has extensive training from Griffith University (Doctor of Medicine) and the University of Queensland (Bachelor of Science). Dr. Gavaghan completed his cardiology training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and a fellowship in multi-modality cardiac imaging at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney.

His research focuses on valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and cardiovascular risk prediction, contributing to multiple high-impact publications and conferences. Currently practicing at Redlands Hospital, St. Andrew’s Hospital, and QEII Jubilee Hospital, Dr. Gavaghan emphasizes patient-centred care, ensuring individuals are well-informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
